The Asthma Society of Canada provides respiratory support services, education and
guidance to patients and health professionals, and advocates for optimal self-management,
research and health care for the 3 million Canadians with asthma and associated
allergies. Our vision is to empower every child and adult with asthma in Canada
to live an active and symptom-free life. The Society actively supports TELUS’s efforts
to provide these people with the technological tools to do just that.
Asthma Health program—a program designed by the Asthma Society of Canada specifically
for TELUS health space—makes it easy for people with asthma and associated allergies
to monitor their health, record symptoms, triggers, lung function results and medication
on a daily basis. Recording information online in a secure way, yet being able to
grant access to family and healthcare providers, will improve self-management and
overall care.
